"Dunk" cake recipe

Hi all!!!
Hope y'all had a great week!  The weekend is almost here, yay!!
As some of you know, I am a huge football fan and Chuckie and I love watching the games.  The 2013 season kicked off yesterday and our beloved Steelers are playing tomorrow (Saturday). I tend to get really loud and yell at the TV during Steelers games, but when Chuckie starts yelling, it's bad lol :)

I made this cake for snacking on during the game.  It goes well with beer, but what I love to eat it with is a hot cup of chai.  This cake is sweet and fluffy and yet has great density to pass the dunk test :). Chuckie's note: Good with a glass of cold milk.

INGREDIENTS
2 sticks butter at room temperature
6 eggs
1/4 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups all purpose flour
1 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
Pinch of salt

METHOD
Preheat oven to 300degrees
Grease an 8X8 square pan and set aside
In a bowl, sift or whisk the flour, sugar and baking powder and set aside
In another bowl, use a hand mixer to cream the butter (1-2 minutes)
Add the eggs two at a time mixing well
Add the vanilla
Add the flour mixture in three batches making sure it is all mixed in before adding the next batch
Scrape into the baking pan
Bake for 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean

Note: I usually bake for a couple of minutes less than the time required and just turn off the oven and leave the cake in there for a few minutes.

Happy dunking!!!
